Second sight

No doubt you have noticed I haven't been uploading a lot and I'm very quiet on flickr ... you see the problems is I have gone,at least officially, blind... and yes it is totally horrible ... i hate it ...but i can see ... dark and light in a very blurry and disconcerting way ...if i look long enough and squint I can sometimes make out people versus objects ... so I'm not really blind I just can not see what I'm expected too ...my world is confusing to say the least ...AND now I hate the bright lights of the medical specialist and the "how many fingers am I holding up?" question ...I just see a blur with fingers appearing and disappearing at will, sometimes it doesn't even resemble a hand in front of my face ... I don't know how many so just stop asking thank you ... just fix what ever you can!! please and do it soon!!

Well it s only 70 days since the real problems started and what a 70days. I last paid $1.69 per litre for petrol (before I had to stop driving). Whilst fanny and freddy had essentially collapsed and been picked up, the banks were still sitting mum and no one I knew was traking about a global financial crisis, heck interest rates where still high. Ok so a lot has changes but why does everyoine have such a gloomy, sullen disposition. It is nearly christmas, the coffe is still good and the shops are open and people are buying christmass presents. Just remember, it is now the time for some

Second time lucky?

I loved the delicacy of light and tone in the chrisnmonicas original photo ...earlier attempts ended unfortunately ... but such ripe roundness of form and monica's shy delicate smile were all too inspiring, firstly in charcoal then in a second attempt using a series of watercolour washes.

Watercolour on paper

I trust I have captured the delicacy better this time

wankergirl in charcoal

wankergirl in charcoal, originally uploaded by sigh clone.

I have been a follower of wankergirl for some time on twitter and I generally get a good laugh or at the very least a big smile from her exploits ... she is totally original and refreshing ...you see she likes to broadcast on seesmic or blog from "bathrooms" (yeap, fair dinkum she does it in dunnies) all over Canada and the US. If you listen carefully to the video below you might see her explain why.. well almost ...just before she gets interrupted!

tawnee sketch

tawnee sketch, originally uploaded by sigh clone.

my charcoal "rubbings" are coming along just fine ... good therapy and quick ... however i seem to have to find the image rather than be able to construct it ... my depeast thanks go out to however figured out about kneadable soft putty rubbers.

the dilema

I get asked to do a lot of sketching on flickr... and don't do it most of the time ... all too often their subject are clearly stolen images... taken from others on flickr or web sites .... its actually very hard for me to figure out what is and what isn't but a grey bot buddy icon and different models, glamor style lighting and certain poses are usually enough ... also i'm well behind the eight-ball when it comes to recognizing "adult movie" starlettes ... but the widespread practice of posting stolen photos is really ruining flickr and I'm not going to play

txssizetits sketch, originally uploaded by sigh clone.

Having said all that this wasn't a request anyway. I had seen a few of Txssizetits's post (she's apparently very web famous as samantha, and that probably isn't her real name either) on my boob oriented group for grown ups, the funbag fascination. I did suspected they may not be her own images but they were consistent and her smile was very infectious ... anyway she (ok its mainly about her cleavage) made a wonderful subject for a charcoal sketch.

... so I apologise txs size ... sorry i thought you where a bot or a fakr

mucking around with different media (again)

Soft Charcoal Compressed Charcoal Watercolour Wash
This is another lifeclass series of quick sketches of the same pose but each in different media, starting with soft charcoal and soft pencil, through compressed charcoal stick and onto watercolour wash.

Is there something deeply psychological in the fact that i was the only one to draw the shadows

a goddess reclining

It seems the goddess venus was a favourite with the old masters because she was a subject that allowed to be painted nude... pity they all copied the same pose
